House of Carrington, The Legend, Golf Apparel with Tailored Luxury

The House of Carrington is a high end clothing company that disregards trends and strives to improve upon the timeless classics. If you crave the finer things in life or want a few high-end shirts and jackets in your wardrobe this is the designer for you.

In 2005, former Ralph Lauren Sales Executive, Andy Bell and his brother launched the House of Carrington. This is not just your ordinary clothing brand, the inspiration of the collection started when Andy and his family discovered a long lost family journal. (Andy Bell's Wife's Great Grandma). After reading the diary the concept was born to retell her story thru a line of clothing where each character represents a brand.

The story can be found online at www.houseofcarrington.com/the_library/. Be prepared to become emotionally connected to the story and thirsting for more. The company plans on releasing more of the story over time.

The Bell Brothers not only have woven a great tale but they have designed very high quality garments. For the golfer, the Legend Line is the sporty side of the main character Andrew Carrington. As the story goes Andrew is "that guy" at the club with raw natural talent that just emanates success. For example, he would be the one that shows up and wins the club championship. Those at the club are baffled because he is rarely seen working on his game.

The foundation of the Legend line is high end golf shirts with accessories that can be layered for an elegant look at your club. For 2009, The Fall Fashions for the brand are themed around the affluent European Lifestyle.

Westminster Palace, the palace in London, is the inspiration of the collection that features cashmere V-Neck sweaters and thin striped polos (The polo shirts are part of the new "Ice Feel" which is a blend of Lyocell and high end cotton) To the touch the shirts feel as soft as a well struck 7 iron.

Oxford Nights is versatile line comprised of classic fall tones, rich burgundy, deep forest green and classic navy with hints of khaki. The collegiate rugby's, argyle sweaters and polos are absolute classics yet with a very modern feel.

St. Tropez, a southern France resort town in the French Riveria, has a nautical and resort type feel with clean lines and bold stripes. The new sport shirts and polos are appropriate on the golf course or alongside the pool.

Tartan Holiday, is the more formal side to the brand. After your round dress up with your choice of a black velvet or blackwatch plaid dinner jacket. Round out the occasion with a mock shirt and a flat front flannel trouser.

For The Woman

The brand Isabelle is House of Carrington's sportswear for women, although not specifically designed for golf. The line is classic wear that is elegant and feminine with a very sophisticated look. The line is full of timeless classics like ruffle neck Cardigans, Split crew blouses and blazers.

The clothing line can be found at fine men's stores, at your local country club or online at www.houseofcarrington.com.
