The Sheboygan and Kohler area features some of the best golf in the state... PERIOD! It all starts with the courses of Whistling Straits, the ultimate tribute to links-style golf. Pete Dye has sculpted two 18 hole masterpieces (Whistling Straits and The Irish Course) on the Lake Michigan shoreline. Between 2004 and 2020, this property will have hosted three PGA Championships, a U.S. Senior Open, a Palmer Cup, and the game's most prestigious event, the Ryder Cup.
But it all started with Blackwolf Run, Pete Dye's Taj Mahal of Americanized golf in the Midwest.
