To begin with, the original course was built in 1968. The Merkel Family took over the establishment in May of 1994. Throughout the first 5-years the family tore down the 3 original volleyball courts and put up 4 enclosed state of the art championship style courts. Only one year later the family decided to expand the kitchen and bathrooms.
After the expansion inside, we added an observation deck overlooking the course and volleyball courts and expanded the building's seating capacity. In the year 2000, the family opened the second nine completing "The Lakes", making it a full 18-hole championship style course. Not only do 16 out of 18 holes have water that comes into play, but you can see the magnificent Milwaukee River from 5 of the holes. We hope that everyone has not only seen the difference the Merkel's have made here but have actually experienced the top level service which makes the final product that much better.
