New Berlin, Wisconsin Course Re-Imagined into The Practice Station that Includes 3 Practice Holes

By Brian Weis

The only way to improve your game is to practice scenarios you'll find on the course. That's why we are thrilled to introduce a revolutionary new business model, The Practice Station in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

A 77-acre, 9-hole golf course in New Berlin, Wisconsin has been re-constructed into a state-of-the-art practice facility that offers golfers real-life situations they face every day on the course. With access to 8 practice stations and 3 practice holes, members are able to work with any club, on any shot, in any situation.

Each station helps golfers practice on different lies, at different yardages (that change frequently), to help improve all aspects of an individual's golf game. By giving a variety of different "mini driving ranges," golfers visualize their shots better than they would on a traditional driving range. This facility helps push golfers into fixing their swing path, alignment, and over-all golf game in a more productive manner.

Here is a breakdown of each of our stations and practice holes:

Station 1: 90-120 yard shots

Station 2: Short game practice for pitching, chipping, and bunker shots

Station 3: Driver and Fairway wood shots

Station 4: 50-150 yard shots hitting over, under, and/or through trees

Station 5: 60-90 yard shots hitting over, under, and or though trees onto the green

Station 6: 50-200 yard shots

Station 7: Up to 90-yard shots

Station 8: Fairway bunkers

Practice Hole 1: Par 3

Practice Hole 2: Short, dogleg Par 4

Practice Hole 3: Long Par 4 hitting over water

Owner and teaching professional John Bauer has long wanted his own facility - a place where golfers can truly improve their skills and overall game. His vision and guidance has resulted in the creation of The Practice Station. The purpose of this facility is simple: to give golfers of all ages and abilities access to a more productive practice facility. As a teaching professional, John has always wanted golfers to work on situational practice, which will lead to actual results on the course.

In addition to the 77-acre outside facility, The Practice Station also has the industry's best indoor golf simulator, powered by TrackMan, with plans to install a second simulator in fall 2019. Plans are also in place to add a driving range with heated bays and an indoor putting green for year-round practice. Combine all of our golf amenities with a fully stocked bar and you have a one-of-a-kind golf practice facility.

In his adult years, his passion for the game collided with his entrepreneurial spirit and in 2004 launched GolfWisconsin.com. In 2007, the idea for a network of local golf directory sites formed and GolfTrips.com was born. Today, the network consists of a site in all 50 states supported by national sites like GolfTrips.com, GolfGuide.com and GolfPackages.com. It is an understatement to say, Brian is passionate about promoting golf and golf travel on a local, regional, national and international level.

On the golf course, Brian is known as a fierce weekend warrior that fluctuates between a 5-9 handicap. With a soft fade, known as "The Weis Slice", and booming 300+ drives, he can blast it out of bounds with the best of them.
