Andy North To Host Second Annual Andy North & Friends Golf Classic To Benefit The University Of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center

Trappers Turn Golf Club and Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. have announced they will host the second annual Andy North & Friends Golf Classic June 6 - 7 to benefit the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC). Aaron Rodgers, NFL quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, will be participating in this year's event. Scott Van Pelt of ESPN's SportsCenter, Olympian Dan Jansen and professional golfers Steve Stricker and Jerry Kelly, will be also be attending to raise funds and awareness for the well-respected cancer research center. The 2009 inaugural event raised $293,000 for one of the leading cancer research centers in the United States.

"We are excited to join together again with Kalahari Resort and Trappers Turn to benefit cancer research," said Andy North, two-time U.S. Open Champion and golf commentator for ABC and ESPN. "Last year's event was a major success, and we hope this year's event will make an even bigger impact for this cause."

The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, the only comprehensive cancer center in Wisconsin designated by the National Cancer Institute, unites more than 280 physicians and scientists who work together in translating discoveries from research laboratories into new treatments that benefit cancer patients.

An intimate evening with Andy North & Friends will be hosted on Sunday, June 6, preceding the golf classic. Guests can enjoy a cocktail reception and delectable dinner experience for $200 per individual. The evening, hosted by Andy North and featuring honorable guests, includes a cocktail reception, a gourmet dinner and entertainment. Additionally, guests have the option of sponsoring a table for $2,000 or hosting a table for $1,500. A live and silent auction will be held throughout the evening to benefit the UWCCC.
