Dells Junior Golf Program Recruiting Kids For 2010 Season

Wild Rock Golf Course at the Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort and Trappers Turn will once again be the working in partnership to oversee the Dells Junior Golf Program. This season, Trappers Turn will host the program on Friday mornings at 9 a.m. starting on June 18th concluding August 6th.

It will cover the basics of golf including: etiquette, rules, the golf swing and short game. This is a great opportunity for children ages 7 and up to learn the basics of golf. The cost of the program is $55.00 which includes weekly instruction, 2 play days at the Woods Course at Wild Rock, and an end of the year banquet and tee shirt.

Also new this year, the Dells Junior Golf Program will offer an Advanced Program for kids 12 years of age and older looking to take their golf game to the next level. It will introduce junior golfers to different formats that can be played during a round of golf, how the rules of golf are used during a round, proper etiquette and hopefully make them into life long golfers. It will also provide strategies and course management tips during the round. The Advance Program will meet on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. starting June 16th and concluding August 4th. Tee time will begin at 2 p.m. each week after instruction. All juniors enrolled in this program must be willing to walk nine holes. The cost of the Advanced Program is $130 per student and a maximum of 28 spots are available.
