Tickets on Sale to Public for 2009 Solheim Cup at Rich Harvest Farms
On August 28th, 2007, tickets went on sale to the general public for the 2009 Solheim Cup at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. The Solheim Cup is named after PING Founders Karsten and Louise Solheim, and is the women's version of the Ryder Cup that has been contested every other year since 1990. The 2009 Solheim Cup will be the 11th staging of the event and features 12-person squads from the United States and Europe. Twenty eight matches will be played over three days: eight foursome matches; eight four-ball matches; and 12 singles played on the final day.
The 2009 event will be contested August 21st-23rd at one of the most incredible properties in the Midwest or the world for that matter. Built in 1989 by sole owner and designer Jerry Rich, Rich Harvest Farms features an intellectual amalgamation of links style ruggedness with dynamic tree-lined vistas. Nearly every hole on the property is of the risk/reward variety, therefore making it the ultimate match play course. For more information on purchasing tickets for the 09 Solheim Cup, visit their website at www.solheimcup.com.
